The 2008 Lamborghini Reventón is the most exotic of JEZ’s exotic dream cars. Not only because it is the priciest of these vehicles, ringing in at more than $1 million, but also because only 20 will be made, of which all have already been sold, granting a lucky few with the privilege of knowing they own one of the fastest, most exclusive vehicles in the world.

The Reventón, based on the Murciélago LP640, features a new body and innovative carbon-fiber body panels that have been glued and riveted to the chassis resembling a piece of chiseled ice. The vehicle’s lines are crisp, edgy and sharp, and its front end is characterized by an acute angle of the central “arrow” nose cone, flanked by forward-facing air intakes. Signature Lambo scissor doors make discreet entrances impossible. Then again, everything from the Reventón’s unique heatproof LED taillights to its TFT-display instrument panel invite questions from envious onlookers.

A true feat of engineering, the Reventón’s V12 engine is tucked neatly behind the driver’s seat, covered by a piece of glass laminate allowing passersby a glimpse of the beast within. And a beast it most certainly is, what with 650 horsepower and a frighteningly loud exhaust system. Torque remains at 487 lb.-ft, unchanged from the Murciélago that the Reventón’s engine is based on. Pound the accelerator, and it responds with spontaneous thrust, slamming the driver’s backside into wafer-thin, super-lightweight Alcantara lined seats. The Reventón takes less than 3.4 seconds to go from 0-60 mph and doesn’t slow down until it hits 211, making it the fastest exotic car in this series.
